Bilt Hamber Korrosol is a high-performance iron fallout remover formulated to safely dissolve embedded ferrous contamination from paintwork, wheels, glass, and other exterior surfaces. Using advanced pH-balanced chemistry, Korrosol reacts with iron particles from brake dust, rail dust, and industrial fallout, turning deep purple as contamination is dissolved. It's an essential decontamination step before polishing, ceramic coating, waxing, or Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation.

Key Benefits

  • Powerful Iron Removal: Dissolves embedded ferrous contamination from paint, wheels, glass, and exterior trim.
  • Colour Change Formula: Reacts with iron particles, turning purple as contamination is safely broken down.
  • Safe on Exterior Surfaces: Suitable for painted surfaces, alloy wheels, clear coat, glass, chrome, plastics, and Paint Protection Film (PPF).
  • pH Balanced: Delivers exceptional cleaning performance while remaining safe for regular decontamination.
  • Prepares Surfaces for Protection: Creates a cleaner surface before polishing, ceramic coatings, waxes, sealants, or PPF installation.
  • Helps Restore Surface Smoothness: Removes bonded iron deposits that contribute to rough-feeling paintwork.
  • Ideal for Wheel Cleaning: Excellent at breaking down embedded brake dust on alloy wheels and painted brake components.
  • Professional Grade: Trusted by enthusiasts and professional detailers for routine decontamination.

Perfect For

  • Paint decontamination
  • Alloy wheels
  • Brake dust removal
  • Glass decontamination
  • Paint Protection Film (PPF)
  • Ceramic coating preparation
  • Machine polishing preparation
  • Routine maintenance detailing

How to Use

  1. Wash the Vehicle: Remove loose dirt and surface contamination before application.
  2. Apply to a Cool Surface: Spray Korrosol directly onto the affected area.
  3. Allow to React: Leave the product to dwell for approximately 3–5 minutes. As it reacts with iron contamination, it will turn purple.
  4. Agitate if Required: For heavily contaminated wheels or stubborn deposits, gently agitate using a soft detailing brush or wash mitt.
  5. Rinse Thoroughly: Pressure rinse the treated surfaces with clean water.
  6. Continue Decontamination: If necessary, follow with a clay bar or clay towel before polishing or applying protection.

Why Use an Iron Remover?

Everyday driving exposes your vehicle to microscopic iron particles from brake dust, rail transport, industrial fallout, and road debris. These particles embed themselves into paintwork and wheels where they can oxidise over time, contributing to rough surfaces and reducing the effectiveness of waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings.

Korrosol chemically dissolves these contaminants without aggressive scrubbing, creating a cleaner, smoother surface that's ready for correction or protection.

Important Information

Do not allow Korrosol to dry on the surface. Always apply to cool panels out of direct sunlight and rinse thoroughly after use. Although safe on most exterior automotive surfaces, always test first when using on delicate or aftermarket finishes.

PRO TIP: Even if your paint looks clean, iron contamination is often invisible. Running your hand across freshly washed paint inside a thin plastic bag is an easy way to feel bonded contamination. Use Korrosol before claying or polishing to dramatically reduce the amount of mechanical decontamination required.
