Car Drying Questions

  • Pat and drag a large, plush drying towel across the panel, or use a blower for a touchless finish. The danger is dragging a thin, cheap towel over grit, so use plenty of surface area.

  • A towel is cheap and quick. A blower is touchless and clears water from shuts and badges. Many detailers blow out the gaps first, then finish the flat panels with a towel.

  • A quick detailer or drying aid mist adds slickness so the towel glides instead of grabbing. It also leaves a light layer of protection, which helps sheet water off next time.
