Microfibre Care Questions

  • Separately from cotton and other fabrics, on a warm cycle with a dedicated microfibre wash or a mild detergent. No fabric softener, since it clogs the fibres and kills absorbency.

  • Yes, on low or no heat. High heat melts and hardens the fibres, which turns a plush towel scratchy. Air drying works fine too, just keep them out of the dust.

  • Fabric softener, high dryer heat or trapped grit, usually. A microfibre-specific wash can recover some towels. Once fibres are heat-damaged though, retire them to wheel or engine duty.
