Our Commitment

At Detail Theory, we are committed to providing high-quality car care products and ensuring customer satisfaction. Our return policy complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the requirements of the Office of Fair Trading QLD.

Change of Mind

We offer a 14-day change of mind return policy from the date you receive your order. To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.
  • You must contact us within 14 days of receiving the item.
  • Proof of purchase is required (order number or receipt).

Return shipping is at the customer's expense. Refunds will be processed once we receive the item back in resaleable condition.

Final Sale Items

Items from our Final Sale collection cannot be returned or refunded under the change of mind policy.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as per your rights under the ACL.

To be eligible:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of receiving the item.
  • Provide proof of purchase (order number, receipt).
  • Supply clear photos or videos of the fault/damage.

We may request the item be returned for assessment. If confirmed faulty, we'll cover return shipping costs.

Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong item, contact us within 7 days and we will organise a replacement at no extra cost.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

  • Opened or used chemicals
  • Items not in original packaging
  • Gift cards or promotional items
  • Final Sale collection items

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Details of the issue
  • Supporting photos (if applicable)

We aim to respond within 2 business days.
