All three sit on top of the paint and protect it. They differ in look, effort and how long they last. A carnauba wax gives the warmest, deepest gloss and goes on with little effort, but it's the shortest-lived: weeks to a couple of months depending on the wax and the weather. A polymer sealant lasts longer and looks a little sharper. A ceramic coating lasts longest but takes the most prep.
DIY Detail Show Winning Carnauba Wax gives a classic carnauba glow without the effort of a traditional paste wax. Its non-abrasive formula fills minor imperfections for a smoother look.
Yum Wax is a limited collaboration wax that blends Brazilian carnauba and montan waxes with resin, for a slick, candy-like finish on painted and gel-coated surfaces.
Jescar Power Lock+ is a polymer paint sealant rather than a wax. Choose it if you want slickness and durability and you're happy with a crisper look.
Wax adds gloss on top of whatever the paint already looks like. Wash and decontaminate first, polish if the paint has swirls, then wipe down with a panel prep spray. Apply a thin, even layer, let it haze, and buff off with a clean microfibre towel. Two thin coats beat one thick one. Top it up with a quick detailer between washes.
