The 3-Step System

Step 1 – Blue HDO Heavy Polishing

Start with the Blue HDO when greater correction is required. Pair it with your preferred compound or heavier correction polish to tackle swirl marks, oxidation, wash marring and other paint defects.

Step 2 – Orange HDO Polishing

Move to the Orange HDO to refine the finish after heavier correction. Its versatile foam makes it an excellent choice for removing light haze, increasing clarity or performing a one-step correction when the paint doesn't require an aggressive first stage.

Step 3 – Black HDO Finishing

Finish with the Black HDO to maximise gloss, depth and clarity. Pair it with a finishing polish to refine delicate paintwork and remove light residual haze before applying your preferred wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

How to Use

1. Inspect the Paint: Assess the condition of the paint and always perform a test section before committing to a pad and polish combination.
2. Select Your Starting Pad: Use Blue for stronger correction, Orange for lighter correction or general polishing, and Black for final finishing.
3. Prime the Pad: Apply your chosen compound or polish evenly across the working face of the pad.
4. Work in Sections: Polish manageable sections at a time using controlled machine speed, pressure and arm movement.
5. Inspect: Remove the polish residue with a clean microfibre towel and inspect your results before moving to the next stage.
6. Refine as Required: Progress from Blue to Orange and finally Black where the paint condition requires a complete multi-stage correction.
7. Protect: Once you're happy with the finish, properly prepare the surface and apply your preferred wax, sealant or ceramic coating.

Do You Need to Use All Three?

Not necessarily. The advantage of the HDO 3-Step Kit is having the flexibility to choose the level of correction your paint actually requires.

For heavily swirled paint, you may use all three stages. For moderate defects, the Orange HDO may provide enough correction before finishing with Black. On paint that's already in excellent condition, the Black HDO and a finishing polish may be all that's required.

Always start with the least aggressive combination capable of achieving the result you're chasing.

PRO TIP: Pad choice is only half of the equation. Changing the compound or polish paired with each HDO pad can dramatically alter its performance. Perform a test section first and find the combination that gives you the correction and finish you want before polishing the entire vehicle.
